Shipping Rates to Canada (updated January 30,2013)

A H Supply gladly ships our compact fluorescent equipment to Canada and your order will usually be on its way within 3 business days after it is placed.  54W linear equipment does not ship to Canada since it exceeds the post office's maximum package length.

All Bright Kit and/or Compact Bulb orders to Canada are shipped through the Post Office by International Priority Mail, by International Express Mail, or, for 13w bulbs only, by International First Class Mail. In our experience, delivery is usually in 7-10 business days for Priority Mail or First Class Mail but there is no guarantee.  Within 14 days is a pretty safe bet, though we have known it to take as long as 4 weeks.  With Express Mail, delivery is usually in 4-6 business days, but again there is no guarantee.

Canada Post will usually collect applicable Taxes (such as GST) and add a brokerage fee of about CDN$8.50. There are no additional brokerage charges or duties in our experience.

You can usually determine the shipping cost for your order with the information below.  Our on-line ordering software will always show the shipping charge for shipments in the United States. We will replace that charge with the correct charge before finalizing the credit card payment.  To speed the processing of your on-line order, please state in the Comments section on the last page of the online ordering process, "I understand the charge will be $_____ for ____ shipping."  Fill in the blanks with the appropriate amount and shipping method so your order will not be delayed.

Note that if you calculate too high a shipping charge, we will charge you the correct, lower amount.  If you calculate too low, we may have to contact you before shipping.

To Calculate the Weight of and Shipping Charge for your package:

1) Began with a base weight for packing materials of 1 lb. 8 oz. (one pound, eight ounces) for orders of kits and/or bulbs costing up to $120.00 excluding shipping charges. Use a base weight of 2 lb 8 oz for orders over $120.00 excluding shipping.

2) Add the weight of the Kits and/or Bulbs from the list below. (16 oz per lb)

3) Round up to the next pound (e.g., a package weighting 2 lb 1 oz ships at the 3 pound rate)

4) Use the chart at the bottom of this page to find the Shipping Charge corresponding to the Weight you have calculated.

1 x 18w Kit = 1 lb 4 oz

1 x 24w Kit  = 1 lb 5 oz

1 x 36w Kit = 1 lb 12 oz

2 x 36w Kit = 2 lb 12 oz

1 x 55w Kit  = 1 lb 13 oz

2 x 55w Kit = 2 lb 13 oz (two per 4x55w, three per 6x55w)

1 x 96w Kit = 2 lb 4 oz

2 x 96w Kit = 4 lb 0 oz (two per 4x96w, three per 6x96w)

13w  bulb = 2 oz (For an order containing only 13w bulbs, you can chose to have up to eight 13w bulbs shipped at a flat rate of $11.95 by First Class Mail (not trackable).

18w bulb = 3 oz

24w bulb = 4 oz

36w bulb = 7 oz

55w bulb = 8 oz

96w bulb = 15 oz
